Duke Men's Basketball vs. N.C. State Wolfpack

(02/08/13 6:58am)

Duke 98, N.C. State 85 (final): The Blue Devils seem to feel comfortable in the last three or so minutes of the game, forcing the Wolfpack to play with their speed and style. N.C. State is pressuring the Blue Devils with a full-court press in the last few minutes in attempt to get the ball back--they are really playing with reckless abandon at this point. State has been really cold from the free-throw line which sure it taking some pressure off the Blue Devils. Scott Wood helped keep the Wolfpack in the game in the last minute or so, sinking a three to cut the Duke lead to eight. N.C. State's relentless press forced Duke to call a timeout with 1:07 to go in the game. "Our house" yell the Crazies as Mason Plumlee slams home a jam with 23 seconds to go and gets fouled and makes the free-throw. Blue Devils win.

From the practice field to the press box

(04/24/13 9:15am)

It was the fall of my junior year of college, and I could no longer flaunt my Duke lacrosse backpack around campus, my Duke Card would no longer swipe into the K Center and weirdest of all, I would no longer be defined as a varsity athlete. I was a jock and the token tomboy who played soccer at recess with all the boys while the girls played patty-cake. I had been playing lacrosse for the majority of my life—since the first grade—so I had no idea what life would be like without it.

Chloe Wells steps up for Blue Devil women's basketball

(03/28/13 6:27am)

After missing last year’s NCAA tournament due to suspension, Blue Devil junior Chloe Wells came out to make the best of another shot at an NCAA title. When Duke trailed Oklahoma State by 13 at the half, Wells took it upon herself to step up and make a change. She did not want to see another season cut short; rather, she wanted to take care of the Cowgirls in order to advance to the Sweet 16 in Norfolk, Va.

(03/21/13 12:40pm)

As first-year head coach Glen Lanham works to rebuild Duke’s wrestling program, two key building blocks have qualified early in their careers to participate in the NCAA Championships Thursday and Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa. Sophomore Brandon Gambucci and redshirt freshman Conner Hartmann earned berths to represent Duke in the 133-pound and 197-pound divisions, respectively.
