NCAA Tournament Second-Round, Women's Basketball vs. Oklahoma State

Duke 68, Oklahoma State 59 (FINAL): Haley Peters sinks a three for the Blue Devils with just two minutes remaining in the game. She then goes down to pick up a defensive rebound for the squad. The Blue Devils have taken the game away from the Cowgirls in the last few minutes of regulation. Duke wins.

Duke 56, Oklahoma State 53 (2:21 left in the second half): The Blue Devils have gone on an 11-2 run over 4:17 and are forcing key turnovers by the Cowgirls with their high-pressure defense.

Duke 54, Oklahoma State 53 (3:09 left in the second half): Alexis Jones back in for the Blue Devils. Tricia Liston takes it in for a three-point play and sinks the free-throw. Duke is within two. Coach P signaling to the crowd to get on its feet and for her team to apply a full-court press. Liston sinks a three to give the Blue Devils the lead, 52-51. Chloe Wells is doing it all for the Blue Devils tonight-she assists to Haley Peters for an easy bucket down low.

Duke 45, Oklahoma State 49 (7:50 left in the second half): The Cowgirls commit two turnovers following the timeout and the Blue Devils head down and sink a three to bring Duke within five points. Oklahoma State has seen a lot of production from Young who has 12 points and seven rebounds so far on the night. Chloe Wells has stepped up for the Blue Devils, she takes the ball hard to the basket for a three-point play and makes the free-throw. Coach P takes Alexis Jones out of the game at the 10-minute mark with three fouls. K'alia Johnson comes in for Duke and looks to make an impact. On her first run down the court, she takes it strong to the basket, gets fouled and sinks one of two free-throws. Wells leads the Blue Devils with 13.

Duke 36, Oklahoma State 45 (11:33 left in the second half): Duke has really stepped up its intensity on defense this half. The Blue Devils are pressuring the Cowgirls in their attempt to get the ball up the floor from the in-bounds pass. Duke has shot much better from the floor this half. Haley Peters leads the Blue Devils with 11 points. Three Oklahoma State players are in double figures so far tonight--Young, Donohoe and Bias have 10, 11, and 11 points, respectively.

Duke 33, Oklahoma State 38 (14:37 left in the second half): Duke starts to put the pressure on the Cowgirls with a full-court press. Oklahoma State turnovers due to some outstanding Blue Devil defense bring Duke back into this game. We have a game here, people!

Duke 28, Oklahoma State 36 (17:17 left in the second half): Haley Peters scores Duke's first points of the second half on a three-pointer after Tricia Liston's attempt at a three touches all parts of the cylinder and rims out. Cameron gets loud as Coach P signals to the crowd to get off its feet and make noise. Peters comes down the floor the next Blue Devil possession and sinks another three-ball.

Duke 21, Oklahoma State 34 (end of the first half): The Blue Devils are turning the ball over way too much if they want to stay in the game with the Cowgirls. Duke has recorded 10 turnovers this half and averages just 16.8 per game this season. The refs are letting the girls play tonight, only four free-throws have been taken in the first half.

Duke 19, Oklahoma State 29 (3:24 left in the first half): Cameron gets loud after Tricia Liston sinks a 3 with six minutes left in the half to bring the score to 19 (Duke)- 26 (Oklahoma State). The Cowgirls are really hustling up and down the floor, taking it to the Blue Devils at a very fast pace. Duke is just 2-9 from beyond the arc.

Duke 14, Oklahoma State 23  (7:32  left in the first half): Alison Vernerey enters the game for Duke replacing Elizabeth Williams. The Blue Devils are still pretty cold from the floor shooting just 6-19. Duke has recorded eight turnovers so far this half as compared with Oklahoma State's four. The Cowgirls are 9-21 from the floor and 3-7 from 3-point land.

Duke 6 , Oklahoma State 13  (11:44  left in the first half): Chloe Wells enters the game for the Blue Devils. Duke is cold from the floor and has just six points in over seven minutes of play. Elizabeth Williams is working hard down low in the post, looking for her shot as well as kicking the ball out beyond the arc. Haley Peters leads Duke with four. Brittney Martin leads the Cowgirls with six.

Duke 4, Oklahoma State 7 (14:39 left in the first half): Duke starts out the game a bit out of control, turning the ball over the first two times down the court. Haley Peters scores the first bucket for the Blue Devils off a pretty spin-move. Alexis Jones is looking confident at the guard position. The Cowgirls have come to play tonight. They are playing a high-pressure defense starting at half court, guarding Jones and Tricia Liston up beyond the arc.

Pregame: Tip-off of No. 2 Duke's second-round game of the NCAA tournament coming up in just a few minutes. The Blue Devils take the court vs. the No. 7 Cowgirls of Oklahoma State.
