No. 23 Duke women's tennis earns 2 hard-fought wins on the weekend against Wake Forest and No. 14 NC State

The 23rd-ranked Blue Devils collected two momentum-building wins this weekend as they defeated No. 31 Wake Forest and No. 14 N.C. State. Despite dropping the doubles point in both matches, Duke rallied to defeat the Demon Deacons 4-1 and the Wolfpack 4-3. Sophomore Katie Codd broke the 3-3 tie to clinch the victory in the latter match, winning in a 7-6, 7-5 nail-biter.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—It wasn’t until there were 45 seconds left in the first quarter that either the Blue Devils or the Tar Heels registered a shot. A testament to not only the strength of the team's defenses but the closeness of the matchup the opening half between No. 3 Duke and No. 2 North Carolina on Friday night. 

Duke field hockey tallies a pair of shutouts against Wake Forest, Louisville to advance to ACC tournament final

The train keeps on rolling to the final stop. With wins against both Wake Forest and No. 10 Louisville this weekend the second-seeded Blue Devils secured their spot in the ACC Championship game Friday. The resounding 2-0 win over Wake Forest Tuesday, which featured nine offensive corners by Duke, was followed by a tight win 1-0 against the Cardinals Wednesday.
