No. 21 Duke looks to keep up its momentum against Hofstra and the Blue Zone is here with some can't miss prop bets:
Duke (-15.5) vs Hofstra
The Blue Devils have had their share of shaky games this year, but when they have won, it has been decisive. In Tuesday’s matchup against Hofstra, Duke will take on a fellow 6-3 team, as the Pride sport losses to Princeton, George Washington and most recently fell to Saint Louis Saturday. In head coach Jon Scheyer’s tenure, his teams have averaged victories by 27.8 points in wins against non-power-conference opponents, far higher than this game’s spread of 15.5 points. Additionally, this year’s Blue Devils should still be looking to prove themselves after three hard defeats early in the season.

Over/Under 145.5 total points
145.5 is a fairly high mark for an over/under total in college basketball, but these are two high-scoring teams. Both sides average more than 80 points per game, and possess highly skilled scorers. Additionally, neither team’s defense has been a strong suit this season, as Hofstra and Duke have allowed 68.9 and 65.9 points per game, respectively. The average college basketball score is around 68 points per game, and Hofstra hasn’t seen a team with the offensive firepower of Duke yet. On the other side, despite playing a few considerably weaker opponents this season, the Blue Devils still allow a high number of points. Hofstra has not faced the test of Duke’s defense yet, but this dip in points by the Pride should be carried by a Duke side that, when in rhythm, has the ability to score with the best in the country.

Duke over/under 80.5 total points
As mentioned earlier, Duke averages 80.8 points per game, and has gone up against opponents with significantly better defenses than Hofstra this season. Even without Tyrese Proctor, the likes of Jeremy Roach, Kyle Filipowski and Jared McCain should be able to easily score against Hofstra, not to mention the shot-making ability throughout the roster.
