Registering for classes was not without its hiccups this year. Undergraduates reported network delays and slowdowns while registering for classes on the ACES/ STORM system. The Chronicle's Patricia Spears checked in with students about their experience registering for classes this year.
"Registration is a necessary evil. I haven't had that many problems, but I think that's mostly by chance." —sophomore Philippa Tanford.
"For me, I'm an athlete and I have a really restricted schedule. I felt very limited in my options. Other than that, the registration process was easy this morning."—sophomore Amanda Kim.
"I registered two hours late, [but] I didn't have any problems." —senior Rhyne King.
"I had the first registration window, so no real problems there. It was a little slower than I remember...We both got kicked off ACES, there was a moment of panic."—junior Emily Hadley.
"It was okay. I got all of the classes I wanted. My roommate had alot of problems though. She only got one of the classes she wanted. She's an engineer." —sophomore Lily Zheng.
"This year, it actually went really smoothly. I got into everything and didn't have any problems."—junior Jasmine Thompson.
"It's too early."—Neel Desai, sophomore.
