Live blog and game notes: Duke vs. Presbyterian

Check out The Chronicle's live blog of Duke vs. Presbyterian. The game tips off at 4:30 p.m.: Click Here

1. Krzyzewski tries for 902

Head coach Mike Krzyzewski will get his first shot at career win No. 902 this afternoon, a total that would tie Bob Knight's all-time NCAA Division I men's basketball record. Presbyterian last faced Duke in 2008, a game the Blue Devils won 80-49.

2. Can Mason Plumlee keep up his torrid pace?

Through the two exhibition games and last night's matchup with Belmont, Mason Plumlee has made 20-of-24 shot attempts and pulled down 31 rebounds. He will likely face Al'Lonzo Coleman in the post, a preseason first-team All-Big South Conference selection. The 6-foot-8 redshirt senior averaged 14.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game last year.

3. Can Tyler Thornton solidify his claim on the point guard spot?

Thornton was played efficiently last night, scoring 10 points on 3-of-3 shooting in just 24 minutes of play. More importantly though, he had three big steals that helped keep the Blue Devils in front down the stretch. If he can prove last night was no fluke, expect to see less Quinn Cook as the team moves forward.
