Catanach Named National Player of the Week

Following this past weekend's back-to-back sweep of North Carolina and N.C. State, junior captain Kellie Catanach was named an ACC Volleyball Player of the Week Monday. A day later, the 6-foot-2 setter was named the National Player of the Week by CollegeVolleyballUpdate.com.

Catanach led Duke (21-4, 13-2 in the ACC) to two strong victories on the road Friday and Saturday to propel the Blue Devils into first place in the conference. She averaged 11.17 assists, 2.00 kills, 2.33 digs and 1.67 blocks for the two matches and prompted Duke to a .342 hitting percentage, including a season-high .360 against the Wolfpack.

The third-year starting setter ranks 22nd nationally and leads the conference with a career-high 11.26 assists per set. She ranks all-time at Duke with 3,733 career assists.
