Mason Plumlee Out Indefinitely

As Duke prepares for its season opener versus UNC-Greensboro tomorrow night, the Blue Devils will have to do so without one of the biggest additions to the team this offseason.

After suffering a hard fall in practice on Wednesday, freshman Mason Plumlee has been ruled out indefinitely with a fractured left wrist.  The fracture, however, is not expected to require surgery.

With Plumlee's injury, the frontcourt depth that was expected to be a strength for the Blue Devils this season takes a major hit, although Duke still has seniors Lance Thomas and Brian Zoubek who can fill in for Plumlee in the starting lineup.  The injury could also mean more playing time for freshman Ryan Kelly down low, as opposed to on the wing where he practiced for most of the offseason.
