Students receive noise citations

A Durham officer reported that at 11:53 p.m. Sept. 14, citations were issued for three residents of 905 Lancaster Street: Matthew S. Doyle, DOB May 21, 1982, Sergio Lance Henry, DOB March 20, 1982, and David A. Trice, DOB Dec. 14, 1981. The students were charged with creating an unreasonable and loud gathering/noise as to disturb the general quietness. The court date for each is November 25. Doyle, Henry and Trice could not be reached for comment.

Camera equipment missing
A student who works for The Chronicle reported that at 3 a.m. Sept. 12, he believes he locked the door to the storage room located in 301 Flowers Building. When he returned at 2:45 a.m. Sept. 13, he discovered the following items missing: $3,200 Nikon DIH digital camera body, $1,500 Nikon 8ody-200mm f/2.8 ED-IF AF-S, $800 Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 ED-IF AF-D, $1,500 Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8 ED-IF AF-S and $142.95 Domke F-7 double AF shoulder bag. There were no signs of forced entry.

Sliding door shattered
An employee reported that between 4 p.m. Sept. 15 and 6 a.m. Sept. 16, someone shattered the sliding glass door to the "Time Out" restaurant located in Duke Clinic, causing $300 in damage, and $10 in damage to the lock.
