The women's soccer team has gotten off to a 10-1-1 start. One reason for the team's success has been junior goalkeeper Melissa Carr. This weekend, Carr helped the Blue Devils hammer two more opponents, as she pitched shutouts in wins over Ohio State (3-0) and No. 18 George Washington (2-0). Carr had several key saves, including two spectacular, leaping deflections to prevent what looked like sure goals against George Washington. For her glorious goalkeeping, Melissa Carr is this week's wondrous Athlete of the Week.
