Policy only applies to first time buyers

I would like to make two clarifications regarding the article "GPSC approves new ticket policy for basketball games" in the Mar. 22 issue.

Although the ticket renewal policy was changed, this change will only affect those students who receive ticket books for the first time in 1993. Students who currently have ticket books from previous years will continue to renew under the policy that was in effect when they first received tickets. Thus, students who first received tickets in years 1991 and prior may renew each year without camping out again as long as they remain Duke students. Students who first received tickets in 1992 may renew one time without camping out again.

In addition, GPSC approved a recommendation to the athletic department to permit all students who successfully meet the camp-out requirements to sign up for the ACC tournament ticket lottery whether they are successful in the lottery or not. Currently, only season ticket book holders may enter the ACC tournament lottery.
