Undergrad’s Alzheimer’s research internationally recognized

A student Alzheimer’s Disease researcher is receiving national attention after publishing findings that show women decline in cognitive function at twice the rate of men. Senior Katherine Lin presented her work at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Washington July 18-23 alongside experts from around the world.

He has only been at Duke since April, but Dr. A. Eugene Washington, chancellor for health affairs and president and CEO of Duke University Health System, already knows what he wants to accomplish. “We can really make this a model city, county and area from the perspective of population health improvement,” Washington said.
