On Sunday evening, Cameron Indoor Stadium was packed with N.C. State and Duke fans alike, both sides rowdy from the beginning. The Blue Devils were coming hot off of their away victory Thursday against Syracuse — and knocked the Wolfpack out cold. The game ended with a 69-58 Blue Devil victory, their second in a row against a ranked ACC opponent.
An extremely difficult nonconference slate concluded for No. 13 Duke with a trip to Cambridge, Mass., to compete against two local schools. No. 8 Harvard first defeated Duke 4-3 in a roller-coaster match Friday that showcased some elite tennis from both sides, and the Blue Devils bounced back with a dominant 6-1 win against Boston College to begin league play on the right foot Saturday.
Up in Boston for the ACC Championships this weekend, Duke saw plenty of success, but it wasn’t enough for its lofty standards. The women’s team fell short of the win they seeked to repeat after last year’s outdoor ACC trophy, placing fourth instead with 64 points. The men’s team was farther back, finishing in ninth place with a total of 27 points.

Duke’s losing streak continued Friday as the team fell to archrival North Carolina by a score of 41-9. The loss meant the Blue Devils finished the regular season with a 4-13 record and without a win in five conference meets. Duke has failed to take a single match in the ACC for six consecutive seasons, stretching back to a 19-16 victory against Virginia in 2018.
The residents of “Mitchell-in Star Restaurant,” who are all seniors, have been tenting for three years. Blake Morris, who met his fellow tenters through Duke Wesleyan, ran through miscellaneous knowledge as he waited for the doors to this year’s ordering test to open at the K Center behind Cameron Indoor Stadium. A fun fact off the top of his head?
When the opening whistle blew in Duke’s contest with Clemson, it looked as though the Blue Devils were up to the task to tame their opponents. Yet after 60 minutes of play, one thing became abundantly clear — not even a Devil can cage a Tiger.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—Head coach Jon Scheyer wasn’t happy when Wake Forest students rushed the court and trampled Kyle Filipowski. But he certainly wasn’t angry with Demon Deacon head coach Steve Forbes.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — For just the second time this season, Duke found itself as the underdog Saturday — and perhaps for good reason. Host Wake Forest gave the eighth-ranked Blue Devils a run for their money in Cameron Indoor Stadium not two weeks ago and entered the rematch a perfect 14-0 on its home floor this season.
