Blue Devil women's tennis comeback attempts fall short against Virginia in ACC Championship finals

For the second straight day, Hanna Mar found a way to claw back from a 5-3 hole in the third set to force a tiebreaker. And with teammate Beatrice Capra serving for the win in the No. 1 singles match and the Blue Devils trailing Virginia 3-2, Mar ‘s comeback effort had the potential to help seal the win.

Since his return, Aaron has played at an even higher level, leading the Panthers to a conference title with a win against Wright State. The guard averaged 20.2 points per game in the tournament—including a 28-point performance in the overtime upset victory against Green Bay. With just Aaron and point guard Steve McWhorter comfortable handling the ball, the Panthers have struggled with turnovers this year, coughing up 13.5 per game, but they held that total to less than 11 per game for the tournament.

Duke basketball rolls against Davidson 111-77 in season-opener

Freshman Jabari Parker and redshirt sophomore Rodney Hood combined for 44 points—including 29 in the first half—to put Davidson behind early in Duke's season-opening win, 111-77 Friday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium. With the two new Blue Devils leading the way, four Duke players registered 20-plus point totals for the first time in program history.
