Duke 88, Virginia Tech 56 (final): Both teams pulled their starters for the final minutes of the game, as Duke gained some experience for its bench while Virginia Tech waved the white flag. The Blue Devils' offense was impressive tonight, only complimented by a stifling defensive performance. Virginia Tech fans loyally leaned over railings to give their Hokies high fives after a valiant but losing effort.


Chelsea Gray out for the rest of the regular season with knee injury

Update (5:41 p.m.): According to Duke women's basketball head coach Joanne P. McCallie, Chelsea Gray dislocated her right knee cap and will be out for at least the remainder of the regular season. The ligament implications are unclear after she took a hard foul with 8:07 remaining in the first half of today's game against Wake Forest.









Notre Dame thwarts Duke women's basketball 87-76 in Elite Eight

Second-seeded Duke made its fourth straight Elite Eight exit Tuesday night, falling short 87-76 to top-seeded Notre Dame at the Ted Constant Center in Norfolk, Va. Notre Dame senior Skylar Diggins, who was named the Norfolk Region’s Most Outstanding Player, picked up two early fouls but returned late in the first half with a vengeance, hitting four 3-pointers and finishing the game with 24 points.



Defense leads Duke women's basketball past Nebraska, to the Elite Eight

NORFOLK, Va.—When a high-scoring team like Duke lays an egg offensively, it usually spells trouble for its tournament chances. But the second-seeded Blue Devils outlasted sixth-seeded Nebraska 53-45 Sunday, relying on stout defense and their stronger interior presence—including seven blocks from Elizabeth Williams—to advance.
