Defense highlights Duke women's basketball win against the Hokies

Duke’s defense was too much for Virginia Tech to handle Wednesday night. The No. 4 Blue Devils (16-0, 6-0 in the ACC) held the Hokies (7-10, 1-5) to just 12 points in the first half and 26 points for the game. Duke’s full-court press was relentless throughout the game, forcing 26 Virginia Tech turnovers. The Blue Devils also finished the game with 19 steals and 23 points off of those Hokie giveaways.




Blue Devil volleyball wraps up home play

Emotions will be flying high in Cameron Indoor Stadium when the Blue Devils (14-13, 5-10 in the ACC) hit the hardwood today against the top ranked team in the conference, No. 13 Florida State, and then turn around to take on Miami Saturday. Not only will the level of play be competitive, but Saturday also marks senior night for the three Duke seniors on the squad—Christiana Gray, Megan Hendrickson and Nailah Waterfield.









Hebrew Nationals: Duke baseball alumni play for Israel in the World Baseball Classic

Nate Freiman and Jeremy Gould have never visited Israel. Yet last week, the pair of former Blue Devil baseball players joined another ex-Duke player, Jake Lemmerman, in suiting up for Israel’s national baseball team for the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in Jupiter, Fla. On the opposing team, representing Spain, was former Duke left-handed pitcher Chris Manno.
