The Robertson Scholars Program announced Thursday that Alex Perwich will replace Tony Brown as executive director of the program, effective Feb. 15. Perwich, who graduated with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned an MBA at Harvard University, served as a lieutenant colonel and has led several corporate and non-profit organizations. “Alex is a high-impact leader dedicated to developing effective, top-performing organizations and programs,” Julian Robertson wrote in an e-mail to Robertson Scholars Thursday afternoon. “He brings an innovative and unique blend of experience to the Program.” Brown, professor of the practice of public policy and sociology, will complete his three-year term as director in June. He will return to his full-time faculty job.
