In the Blue-White scrimmage at Countdown to Craziness Friday, the Blue team, headed by led by 13 points from Gary Trent Jr, edged the White team and Grayson Allen 43-41. Allen had 13 points, while teammate Marvin Bagley III impressed in his first live action at Cameron Indoor Stadium, scoring 12 points and grabbing four rebounds. The Chronicle's Ben Leonard and Mitchell Gladstone give some early takeaways from the team's scrimmage, plus some reaction from Bagley.

After falling big to Miami in its last outing, Duke failed to get its offense going once again in a 28-21 loss to Virginia. Daniel Jones completed just 14-of-42 passing attempts for 124 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. After being burned by two quick scores early, Duke dropped its first game of the season to Miami 31-6 Friday night at Wallace Wade Stadium and fell to 4-1. The Blue Devils surrendered seven passing plays of 25 yards or more to quarterback Malik Rosier and couldn't finish in the red zone, picking up just six points in three trips. The Chronicle's Ben Leonard and Michael Model break down the loss and look forward to next week's matchup against Virginia.

The Blue Devils moved to 4-0 by beating North Carolina. The win was powered by tough defense and a clutch drive midway through the fourth quarter by an offense that had a tough time finishing drives otherwise.
