Just before Thanksgiving, the Department of Theater Studies produced a version of Euripides' The Trojan Women that may have escaped the notice it deserves. It is a play that speaks to any generation embroiled in war-both the tremendous achievement and the tremendous flaw are, in fact, illuminations of the contemporary American perception of war and tragedy.
