NAMI endorses Christina Wang for DSG President
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI at Duke) would like to announce its endorsement of Christina Wang for DSG President. While both candidates have excellent platforms, Christina has demonstrated a powerful dedication to mental health concerns throughout her platform. Christina’s platform includes several initiatives that we believe will significantly benefit mental health, including her plan to expand the Headspace meditation app and her advocacy for CAPS and Blue Devils Care expansion. NAMI also appreciates her dedication to building a more inclusive environment at Duke through community projects like Blue Devil Buddies and expansion of LLCs. Finally, we believe that Christina’s dedication to empowering student groups and on-campus student advocacy will allow student groups like NAMI to continue their work more effectively.
