The Blue Devils picked up another win on the recruiting trail Friday when Class of 2016 target Elijah Deveaux committed to David Cutcliffe's Duke squad. The three-star running back from Charlotte Christian School made the announcement on his birthday at school.
The 6-foot, 204-pound tailback is the second player to join Duke's Class of 2016. Cutcliffe received a monumental commitment in July from wide receiver Scott Bracey, ranked by ESPN as the 32nd-best recruit in the class.
Here's a look at Deveaux's highlights from his sophomore campaign:
Deveaux, a Charlotte, N.C., native, chose the Blue Devils over several other ACC programs. He also held offers from Boston College, Pittsburgh, N.C. State, Mississippi State and Temple.
The Blue Devils have 18 recruits committed in the Class of 2015, including a pair of four-star recruits in tight end Tyler Petite and wide receiver Keyston Fuller. Duke's 2015 recruiting class is currently ranked 28th in the country by ESPN.
