3) Nov. 19, 2013 vs. East Carolina:
After torching Davidson and Florida Atlantic for 50 points on 17-of-21 shooting combined in two of his first four games as a Blue Devil, Hood continued his efficient scoring against the Pirates. The Mississippi State transfer played all 40 minutes, scoring a season-high 30 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field and 12-of-12 from the free throw line. He also grabbed five rebounds, leading Duke to an 83-74 victory. Hood showed he could be a reliable scorer down the stretch of close games, and would go on to knock down the game-winning free throws in the Blue Devils' 91-90 win against Vermont in his next game.

: Although Hood's offensive performance was not spectacular by his standards, the Meridian Miss. native's defensive performance sparked Duke's first big road win of the season. The Blue Devils won 80-65.
