Duke basketball season highlights: Andre Dawkins

This week on The Blue Zone we will be running down the top three performances from the 2013-2014 season of each of the departing Blue Devils. Today, we take a look at Andre Dawkins.

Andre Dawkins, Guard, Graduate Student

3) Dec. 28, 2013 vs. Eastern Michigan: In one of his most complete performances of the season, Dawkins tallied 20 points, grabbed two rebounds and recorded two steals in Duke's 82-59 win. All of Dawkins' field goal attempts were launched from beyond the arc, and he shot an impressive 6-of-10 from distance in 26 minutes.

2) Feb. 1, 2014 at Syracuse: Playing a season-high 28 minutes due to both to his shooting prowess and mounting foul woes for his teammates, Dawkins scored 14 points in a losing effort at the Carrier Dome. The graduate student knocked down four of Duke's 15 3-pointers on the night, but had to match up against Syracuse's Jerami Grant down low in overtime after Jabari Parker and Amile Jefferson fouled out, a mismatch that swung the game in the Orange's favor.

1) Jan. 27, 2014 at Pittsburgh: After a slow start to ACC play, Dawkins began showing signs of life in the three games prior to the Pitt contest, but broke out in a big way in Duke's first visit to the Petersen Events Center. He scored 20 points, tied for his season high, and shot a blistering 6-of-7 from behind the arc in just 15 minutes of action. Dawkins' three triples in a 2:04 span down the stretch in the second half proved to be the difference as the Blue Devils pulled away from the Panthers.
