Marcus Stroman earns All-America Second Team honors

After being named to the ACC All First Team, Marcus Stroman was named a member of the 2012 Louisville Sluggers All-America Second Team.

Stroman's 136 strikeouts this season was the best mark in the NCAA. His 12.49 strikeouts per nine innings was second best in the league. Stroman finished his season with a 6-5 record and 2.39 ERA.

Marcus Stroman became just the ninth Blue Devil to be named to an All-America team, the first since Vaughn Schill in 1999. Other Stroman accomplishments include his 3.29 career ERA, which is the second lowest in school history in the aluminum bat era, which started in 1974, and his 290 career strikeouts, fourth most in school history.

Stroman is widely expected to be a first round pick in the upcoming MLB draft this June.
