Fuqua Dean Blair Sheppard will step down from his role as dean Aug. 1, the University announced Monday. He will then take on a position in fundraising and business development for Duke Kunshan University.
Sheppard, who served as dean of the Fuqua School of Business since 2007, will be succeeded by William Boulding, deputy dean and J.B. Fuqua professor of business administration. Boulding will serve a two-year term. The University will conduct an international search for a new dean in the second year of Boulding's term.
The shift comes after Sheppard declined reappointment to a second term as dean.
