Smith Named MVP, Four Blue Devils on All-Tournament Team

Senior Nolan Smith was named MVP of the ACC Tournament after scoring 20 points and dishing out 10 assists to lead No. 2 Duke over No. 1 UNC in the championship game. Smith also scored 27 points in a semifinal win over Virginia Tech.

Senior Kyle Singler joined his co-captain on the Tournament first team after scoring 29 points in the quarterfinal against Maryland and then putting up a stellar defensive effort against the Hokies' Jeff Allen in the semifinals and the Tar Heels' Harrison Barnes in the title game. The rest of the first team was filled out with Barnes, Tyler Zeller and Clemson's Demontez Stitt.

Duke's Seth Curry and Miles Plumlee were named to the Tournament's second team. Curry had double-digit scoring in each game and ably filled in for Smith when he went down with a toe injury against Maryland. Plumlee averaged just under nine points and seven rebounds in three games, starting for the first time since the Blue Devils' non-conference schedule. The pair was joined on the second team by North Carolina's John Henson and Kendall Marshall, as well as Virginia Tech's Malcolm Delaney.
