Duke Director of Athletics Joe Alleva traveled to meet Monday with Navy head coach Paul Johnson regarding the University's head football coaching vacancy, a Duke official told The Chronicle.
The meeting with Johnson, considered to be Duke's top candidate to replace former head coach Ted Roof, could signal progress in the search that is more than a week old.
