Weird Science: Sperm used to treat wrinkles?

Sperm used to treat wrinkles? Kevis of Beverly Hills, Ca., started marketing an anti-wrinkle cream called Kevisilk this spring. Wrinkles are formed when the outer layer of skin collapses due to loss of water and nutrients. Kevisilk's active ingredient, hyaluronic acid, is found on the tip of human sperm. The molecule penetrates a skin cell and absorbs 1,000 times its weight in water. "People's first impression is that we have a factory of guys watching X-rated movies," said Kevis' general manager Brian Reichenberg. "We get lots of funny jokes," he added. Alas, the secret of Kevisilk is not so stimulating: The active ingredient is made synthetically in Japan.
