Well, in less than two months I will be graduating from this fine institution, and then there will be nothing to hold me back. I will be (gasp!) a real adult.
A couple of weeks ago, while in K-ville, my friends informed me of something amazing-there's Internet access in the lampposts.
"Don't talk to strangers," is a horrible piece of advice.
Weather is a funny thing. We have it all the time. But we sometimes forget about it until it makes us sit up and take notice by doing something unexpected-like when it snows in Durham.
As I begin my last semester in college, I have been thinking about the ways my life may be different a year from now, and about the differences between college and "the real world" in general.
"An open door is an open invitation." You can read this warning message about leaving doors open on resident advisers' bulletin boards and on commons rooms' doors.
Well, as a senior looking back, I cannot say college has been everything I expected. But some things that have happened to me have been more unexpected than others.
I play the guitar-sort of. Or at least that is what I say when people ask. They walk into my apartment and see the guitar case. "Do you play?" they ask.
At least twice in the past week, freshmen have apologized to me for being freshmen.
