No other way

About a month ago on a late Tuesday night, I was in The Chronicle’s office finishing production with several other editors when we saw a Fix My Campus post saying the first floor of Perkins was flooded. Five of us quickly grabbed a camera and rushed over to see what happened. We didn’t know if the flood would be worth an article, but we were curious.

The ride

My Dad used to listen to this station called 95.7 The Ride all the time growing up.  It wasn’t my favorite music (lots of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, etc.) but now that I’ve come to college I made a Spotify playlist with a bunch of ride classics.  I find myself listening to that music when I’m missing home and feeling sentimental and also because I’ve realized it’s actually Good.

If I could conjugate at least one verb correctly, it didn’t matter if the rest of my sentence was off.

Students storm BC Plaza to protest noods

The student group, dressed in bright orange and carrying posters with phrases such as, “Use your noodle: get us the mac we deserve” and “It’s not too cheesy: we want mac,” stood in the center of the plaza where they protested for 15 minutes before leaving to make their 1:25 classes.

The difficulty of being Christian at Duke

At a place like Duke, where students pride themselves on their acceptance of all people regardless of religion or ethnicity, it seems backward that it’s still acceptable to mock God and Christianity in front of people who incorporate religion into their lives.
