In its second consecutive road game against a top-15 opponent, No. 9 Duke hoped to once again prove that they belong among the top teams in the country.
No. 4 Duke will face one of its stiffest tests of the season Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. on the road against No. 2 Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis. The matchup is the headliner of this year's ACC/Big Ten Challenge and will be the first contest between two top-five teams nationally.

In their final preseason exhibition game, the No.4 Blue Devils overcame a slow start to defeat Division II opponent Central Missouri 87-47 Saturday afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium. After falling behind 13-7 early in the first half, Duke used a 17-0 run built on strong defense and ball movement to leave the Mules in the dust.
Duke knows the importance of strong point guard play. After all, it was season-ending injuries to point guards Chelsea Gray and Alexis Jones injury that dashed the Blue Devils’ national title aspirations a year ago.

Following a dominant 67-point victory in its first exhibition against Limestone, the Blue Devils hit the century-mark once again Sunday.
The Blue Devils know the competition they face in early season exhibitions will not be indicative of what the regular season will bring. But every game for the young squad provides an opportunity for the team to continue to mesh and improve as a unit.
With a powerful second-half ground game and a stout defense, Duke pushed past Virginia 20-13 to take control of the Coastal Division and become bowl eligible for the third consecutive season. The Blue Devils broke the 13-13 tie on a jump-pass by backup quarterback Thomas Sirk with 7:23 left in the fourth quarter. Duke’s defense then stood strong and kept the Cavaliers out of the end zone on their final two possessions to secure the victory.
After another week of exciting conference play, the ACC pecking order slowly seems to be taking form. With Florida State cruising towards the Atlantic Division title, control in the chaotic Coastal Division is still up for grabs.
After winning the national championship last season, the Blue Devils knew they would need freshman reinforcements to cope with the losses of seniors Alejandra Cangrejo and Laetitia Beck and freshman Yu Liu. It was the dynamic two-under par performances by Cangrejo and Beck in the final round of play that helped Duke come from behind to defeat Southern California and win its sixth national title.
Duke knew it would need big performances from its top golfers as it faced arguably the deepest field in the history of the Annika Intercollegiate tournament. After three solid rounds this weekend, there is no doubt that the Blue Devils got the memo.
