Slots for Chapel weddings are not difficult to get
I was distressed to see such a misrepresentation of the wedding scheduling process for the Duke Chapel in The Chronicle recently. I am afraid that many couples will miss out on an unforgettable experience because they are afraid that the time involved makes such an event impossible for them to schedule. My husband and I were engaged in October of our senior year, and we were married in the Chapel the next June. I simply stopped by on my way to class one afternoon and inquired about available dates. I was given several options, including many in the popular months of May and June. There really is no need to "camp out" on the Chapel steps and stories that chronicle those who do only dissuade interested couples from even trying for a wedding in the Chapel.
