To say Mason Plumlee struggled in the first half of Duke's 73-57 win against Georgia Tech would be an understatement.
No. 1 Duke didn't have enough in the tank to defeat N.C. State on the road Saturday, losing 84-76. With Ryan Kelly in street clothes and Seth Curry missing the end of the game after rolling his ankle, Richard Howell and C.J. Leslie were able to bully the Blue Devils and take control of the game.

No. 1 Duke knocked off Davidson and Wake Forest last week to keep their undefeated record thanks to the strong play of Ryan Kelly. Today, Kelly was recognized for his strong play by being named ACC Player of the Week.
The three-ball was falling and Ryan Kelly was dominant as No. 1 Duke disposed of Wake Forest by the score of 80-62 Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium to open ACC play.
Duke 56, Davidson 46 (3:57, second half): Davidson's defensive intensity is up, but Duke has the momentum and is finding ways to score through the tough defense. Ryan Kelly has taken the scoring onus for the Blue Devils, putting in 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. Meanwhile, Mason Plumlee is in foul trouble with four personals, adding more frustration to an already tough game for the senior forward. Duke, who has put Davidson in the bonus, will need to keep the Wildcats off the free throw line in order to secure a win in this tight game.
With only one game remaining before ACC play begins, Duke still stands at No. 1 in the rankings and sports a spotless 12-0 record. Duke 82, Santa Clara 70 (2:47, 2nd half): Kevin Foster has arisen from his scoring slumber and is fighting single handedly to keep Santa Clara in the game, draining back-to-back threes. The recent stretch of play has been an even battle, with teams trading baskets as well as fouls. Seth Curry and Mason Plumlee have both cracked 2o points while Ryan Kelly and Quinn Cook each are over 10. The Broncos now have four scorers in double figures and another player with nine. Tyler Thornton has fouled out for Duke and Kelly and Cook each have four personals.
