Duke in the NBA: Singler stars, Kelly benched

(02/28/14 7:47pm)

Miles Plumlee, Phoenix Suns: It wasn’t a good week for Miles Plumlee or the Suns, as they lost three of four games, and find themselves hanging on to the eighth seed in the West by a half a game. Plumlee failed to get into double digits in either points or rebounds in any game, averaging 6.0 points and 6.3 rebounds. As Plumlee’s play continues to decline, he is beginning to lose minutes to rookie center Alex Len and the Morris twins.

(02/22/14 1:12am)

Miles Plumlee, Phoenix Suns: The Suns may have won both of their games after the All-Star break, but Plumlee did not play particularly well offensively in either of them. Fouling out in just 22 minutes against the Nuggets, Plumlee scored just two points, although he did manage to grab eight rebounds. Plumlee then scored just four against the Celtics, but added eight rebounds and three blocks.

Duke in the NBA: Irving and Deng not quite clicking

(01/31/14 11:26pm)

Miles Plumlee, Phoenix Suns: Plumlee’s play this week was slightly subpar by his standards, as he averaged 8.6 points on 48.8 percent shooting, and 7.6 rebounds per game—one point and one rebound below his season averages. The good news is that the Suns are playing great basketball, winning four out of five this past week, including a big win over the Pacers on Thursday night.

Duke in the NBA: Both Plumlees have career weeks

(01/04/14 12:08am)

Miles Plumlee, Phoenix Suns: Plumlee scored a career high 22 points in the Suns victory over the 76ers on Saturday, as Phoenix continues to be the most surprising team in the NBA this season. Plumlee averaged 11.3 points and 9.8 rebounds in four games this past week, and if he keeps his performance going he could find himself in contention for NBA’s Most Improved Player.
