Allen shines as Duke men's basketball downs Georgia Tech without Krzyzewski

ATLANTA—The Blue Devils knew they were going to be without senior captain Amile Jefferson for the 13th straight game Tuesday. They found out Tuesday morning that head coach Mike Krzyzewski would miss his first game since 1995 after remaining in Durham following a trip to Duke University Hospital Monday.

But the Blue Devils also won thanks to an area that has not been a strength since senior forward Amile Jefferson exited the lineup in early December with a foot injury—their play on the interior. 





Duke men's basketball hosts Buffalo as Bulls pay visit to the Bull City

The Bulls will finally make the trip to the Bull City, but there will be no Bobby Hurley at the helm. The former Duke standout guard won national championships as a Blue Devil in 1991 and 1992 and led Buffalo to its first NCAA tournament berth last season as the Bulls' head coach before moving west to take the reins at Arizona State.

NEW YORK—The Blue Devils may have been excited to get back to the court after a loss to Kentucky, but it was the Rams who showed the most hustle in the first half. Thanks to a flurry of transition points and a big outing from senior Melvin Johnson, Virginia Commonwealth takes a 39-38 lead heading into intermission at the 2K Classic at Madison Square Garden.
