With the suspension and later cancellation of all Duke athletic competition due to the spread of coronavirus, many Blue Devil seasons were abruptly cut short. The Chronicle is going to take a look back at those seasons affected as well as what we missed out on with their cancellations. We've already looked at men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball. Next on the list: men’s lacrosse.



NCAA will host men's, women's basketball tournaments without fans

Amid fears of COVID-19 and its rising impact within the United States, the NCAA has officially ruled to hold all upcoming championship events with just family and critical staff present. This includes both men's and women's NCAA tournaments. In a statement released on Twitter, NCAA president Mark Emmert cited the decision as one based on public health concerns for all involved.
