I came to Duke without a clue in my mind. The first two years of college was a lot of stumbling— through a toxic relationship, an intense eating disorder, and depression that was kept hidden in my childhood bedroom for years but exploded into every corner and crevice of my life as soon as I came to college. The funhouse mirrors of my mind were so large and disfiguring that at times I thought I would stumble forever. But the thing I didn’t know about stumbling is that just as you can cluelessly stumble into darkness, you can stumble your way into the light. 

Duke to make COVID-19 vaccines available to all Durham-area students

Beginning April 1, all currently enrolled Duke students in the Durham area will be invited to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment through Duke Health, according to an email from Student Health Director John Vaughn; Dean of Students John Blackshear; Mary Pat McMahon, vice provost and vice president for student affairs; and Gary Bennett, vice provost for undergraduate education.

Duke currently plans for its stay-in-place order to last through 9 a.m. Sunday as originally announced, wrote Gary Bennett, vice provost of undergraduate education; Mary Pat McMahon, vice provost of student affairs; and John Blackshear, associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students, in a Thursday evening email to undergraduates.

Netflix’s ‘Crash Landing on You’ is more than an unrealistic romance across enemy lines

“Crazy Rich Asians,” “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” and its sequel gained well-deserved applause for increasing Asian American representation in the media. However, I can’t say that these movies are highly regarded solely based on the merits of their content, which leads me to question whether representation has needed to come at the cost of artistic quality.
