La Casa, the Latinx affinity space previously located on the bottom floor of the Bryan Center, used to feel like home to junior Nicole Romero Ospina. It was spacious, with three rooms and a main space. Students came to study, play games or just relax.

NC Supreme Court orders state to allocate nearly $800 million for public schools, midterm results may change ruling

The North Carolina Supreme Court recently ruled 4-3 in an unprecedented decision ordering the state legislature to transfer money from government reserves to state agencies to implement an education remedial plan. The vote, which upheld a lower judge's previous ruling, was split along party lines.
