Not-so-impossible burgers

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved animals. I never had a pet while growing up, but from an early age, I learned to admire the many creatures that inhabit our planet. Despite this great love, meat has always been a large part of my diet. Both of my parents fueled my carnivorous lifestyle: my mom controlled the stove and oven while my dad commandeered the grill. 



Dialogue and environmental justice for Israel and Palestine

Water availability hasn’t always been a problem for Susya, a Palestinian village in the Israeli-controlled part of the southern West Bank (see the map above). Until recently, the village has been able to fulfill its needs from rainwater collection. However, between 1999 and 2001, the Israel Defense Forces destroyed most of the cisterns Susyans used to collect water.
