Duke recommits itself to fossil fuels and an unlivable future for its students in recent ACIR report

As of today, 234 other universities across the world have committed to divesting their endowments from fossil fuels, meaning that they no longer invest any portion of their endowments in the stocks, bonds, or funds of oil, coal and gas companies. In a recent report by the Duke Advisory Committee on Investment Responsibility (ACIR), Duke has recommitted itself to the opposite, deciding once again that profits and loyalty to its fossil fuel shareholders come first, before the precious Climate Commitment and before the future of our world. As President Price said in a recent interview, "It is presently not practical for DUMAC to account for carbon emissions in its portfolio."

No. 14 Duke men's tennis rides strong doubles performances to weekend wins against Louisville, Notre Dame

After the loss against No. 3 Virginia back on March 10, No. 14 Duke has more than bounced back by sweeping the weekend, beating Louisville Friday and Notre Dame Saturday. The Blue Devils extended their winning streak to four games ahead of arguably their most important game of the season next weekend against a North Carolina team that only seems to be getting better with time.

DALLAS—N.C. State head coach Kevin Keatts received a technical foul with 8:03 remaining in the game, and freshman guard Jared McCain knocked down two free throws to cut the Wolfpack lead to six. Duke had the momentum and a chance to change the trajectory of a game slipping from its grasp.

The man who sued the Baldwin Scholars program over alleged “gender discrimination” has now sued the C-1 van whose driver only lets on the “girls, gays and theys” during the busiest transportation hours.
