Havas enters her second full year with the Blue Devils after transferring from Lafayette.

As the college basketball season looms, it's finally time for the Blue Zone to preview the 2022-23 Duke women's basketball roster. We previously looked at Bo Shaffer and Emma Schmidt. Next up is Jiselle Havas:

Jiselle Havas

Year: Graduate student

Height: 5-foot-10

Position: Guard

Last year’s stat line: 1.1 PPG, 0.4 RPG, 0.4 APG, 5.6 MPG

Game Breakdown: As a senior walk-on and academic transfer from Lafayette, Havas has the potential to be a useful piece of the team’s offense due to her position at guard. She received little playing time last season—her season-highs were 16 minutes against Virginia where she scored five points, including a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to end the first half. Havas provides bench support and the potential to direct the offense at guard, coming off the bench nine times in 2021-22. Before Duke, she played a key part in Lafayette’s offense in her freshman and sophomore years, but has received little playing time for the Blue Devils.

Role on the team: Being a walk-on and academic transfer with minimal playing time last year, Havas will likely receive minimal minutes this coming season, unless extraordinary circumstances arise.

Projected Stats: 0.6 PPG, 0.2 RPG, 0.2 APG, 2.0 MPG
