Welcome to the fifth episode of Bridging the Gap, a collaboration between The Bridge and The Chronicle, two student publications at Duke.
This episode will discuss the history of The Chronicle itself, particularly regarding representation and how that has impacted our coverage of marginalized groups. We’ll be focusing on Black students in this episode, but it is important to acknowledge that students of other backgrounds may have different perceptions of The Chronicle and its coverage.
Check out a series of quotes from the episode or read a note from the series' former host, Cameron Oglesby, Trinity '21. There is also a transcript of the episode for those who need or prefer one.
