Fear not Duke fans—you don’t have to say goodbye to all the Blue Devil seniors just yet.

After making it through the longest season in program history, three Duke women’s soccer seniors—Tess Boade, Caitlin Cosme and Lily Nabet—decided to take advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA and return for one more season. The decisions were announced via Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

This trio served as tri-captains this past season and will each bring a wealth of experience to the Blue Devils in their respective fifth seasons. Boade, who is returning despite being drafted in this past year’s NWSL draft, was tied for the team lead in goals this past season. Cosme has been an anchor on Duke’s back line and Nabet was a consistent presence in the midfield.

In returning, they ensure the Blue Devils will only lose a couple of their usual starters, putting Duke in prime position for a deep run in the 2021 NCAA tournament.
