It looks like Duke will enter next season with its third starting quarterback in three years.
AL.com's Matt Zenitz reported Monday evening that Chase Brice has entered the transfer portal.
The former Clemson backup transferred to Duke prior to this season but vastly underperformed his expectations, finishing with 2,170 yards, 10 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Brice's 15 picks led the nation.
It remains to be seen who will lead the Blue Devils under center in 2021. Gunnar Holmberg appears to be the most viable candidate from those currently in Duke's program, though the redshirt sophomore has only attempted 25 passes throughout his career in Durham.
Luca Diamont also could be in play, with the true freshman making his first game appearance this past Saturday at Florida State, completing 5-of-8 passes for 38 yards and an interception.
