Vernon Carey Jr. and Tre Jones nearly swept the 2019-20 ACC awards last week, and their list of accolades continued to grow Friday afternoon.

The Blue Devil duo was named AP All-Americans, with Carey as a second-teamer and Jones as a third-teamer.

Carey was the only freshman to make one of the three All-American teams, and the 6-foot-10 center dominated on the floor with a bully-like mentality inside. He averaged 17.8 points and 8.8 rebounds on the season.

In his sophomore campaign, Jones broke out as Duke's go-to scoring option on the perimeter. His 6.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game were elite, but his season will be best remembered for numerous clutch moments down the stretch, including a game-tying jumper at the buzzer against North Carolina.
