As Duke gets set for its toughest test since early December, a key rotation piece will return to action in the team's first opportunity to get back on track.
Sophomore Joey Baker will play against No. 11 Louisville Saturday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium after missing the Blue Devils' last game against Clemson with a sprained right ankle, the team announced on Twitter Saturday morning. Without Baker and freshman Wendell Moore, Duke suffered without its reliable depth and fell to the Tigers 79-72.
The Blue Devils will immediately receive a big boost to their 3-point shooting with Baker back in the lineup as the forward ranks second on the team with 20 made triples on 43.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski could also use Baker as another defender on the Cardinals' Jordan Nwora, the ACC's preseason Player of the Year.
