Wendell Moore and company face off against Wofford Thursday.

It's been over a week since the Blue Devils last played a game, but the rest of college basketball has been very busy, and the latest poll again shows why this could be one of the craziest seasons in recent memory. The Blue Zone will be here every Monday at noon until March giving you the biggest takeaways from each ranking:

Blue Devils rank No. 4

Despite not playing a game in Week 6, Duke has continued to climb after its major fall from first to tenth just two weeks ago. The Blue Devils jumped over Michigan, Maryland and Ohio State during finals week as they now get a chance to prove themselves in action before another big break.

Mayhem in the top-5

College basketball is just wacky this year, and four of the top five ranked teams from last week lost to prove it. In addition to Duke rising, Kansas took the No. 1 spot for the first time this season, the fifth different top-ranked team thus far. Gonzaga make a big leap from No. 6 to No. 2, while Louisville and Ohio State round out the Top-5 after their blunders.

Goodbye Tar Heels

The start to this season couldn't have gone much worse for North Carolina as three straight losses pushed the Tar Heels out of the poll for the first time since 2013. To make matters worse, star point guard Cole Anthony is out indefinitely with a knee injury, and UNC's offense looks non-existent without him. The Tar Heels' most recent defeat came at the hands of Wofford for the second time in three years, and the Blue Devils will welcome the Terriers next to Cameron Indoor Stadium Thursday night.
