Four finalists chosen for undergraduate Young Trustee

The field is set for the undergraduate Young Trustee election.

Seniors Archana Ahlawat, Brian Buhr, Luke Farrell and Trey Walk have all been named finalists for the position, according to Young Trustee Nominating Committee Chair Yemi Kolawole, a senior. The Young Trustee Nominating Committee selected the four finalists after choosing nine semifinalists and interviewing the candidates.

Seniors Anna Merryman, Jadesola Akinwuntan, Jaida Lemmons and Tyjair Sadler and sophomore Gaurav Sharma were semifinalists for the position, but didn't make the final round. The YTNC chose semifinalists based on applications submitted to them.

The four seniors will face an undergraduate student-wide election from noon on Feb. 12 to noon Feb. 13, according to Richard Riddell, senior vice president and secretary to the Board of Trustees.

The Young Trustee that emerges will serve on the Board of Trustees for three years, one of which as an observer and the following two as a voting member.
