After spending about a week on Duke’s campus, you’ve probably realized you’re surrounded by a bunch of people constantly panicking about internships and summer jobs. And jobs after college. And turning summer jobs into jobs after college. You get the picture. A little tip for you all—your friends don’t know as much about job opportunities as you may think they do (sorry to blow your cover, everyone).
Luckily for you, we have the dirt on some opportunities that the Career Center offers to help out Duke students who are beginning their search for internships. Most notably, the Career Center is launching a new series of luncheons (heck yeah baby, food is involved) titled Culture and Connection events designed for students and employers to chat about diversity and inclusion in the workspace. You’ll also have the chance to learn more generally about these companies’ internship opportunities and recruitment processes. Yep, you get to do all of this over a delish and FREE meal provided by Duke. Woo!
We’ve got the deets on the companies that are currently registered for the event: IBM, Triage Consulting Group, Appian, and Capital One. Keep in mind, more companies are still registering. Come on over to Penn Pavilion at 12pm on Wednesday, January 23rd to have lunch with the company that you’ll choose when you sign up. Make sure to dress business casual so that you’re looking snappy when handing out your resumes to potential employers during the open networking window after lunch.
Students are required to register for this event at: https://tinyurl.com/yd5vap94
