Forbes names Duke as No. 18 best employer in America

For the third year in a row, Forbes magazine named Duke one of "America's Best Employers."

To compile the list, Forbes partnered with research firm Statista to survey 30,000 American workers for opinions of their employers. Duke was ranked No. 18 of 500 institutions this year, nine places above its rank last year. To be included in the list, institutions had to employee at least 1,000 individuals.

“Our faculty and staff remain among some of the most talented individuals in the country,” said Kyle Cavanaugh, Duke's vice president of administration, to Duke Today. “Over the years, Duke has consistently been recognized as one of the top employers in the nation, and this most recent recognition helps to reinforce the amazing culture that represents our Duke community.”

Harvard University and Stanford University were ranked No. 10 and No. 15, respectively.
